Q: How come some item-titles seem gray where others are black?

A: Items turn grey if there are too many items in the timeline to show them all at once. It is an indication that you need to zoom in. The grey items will get bigger and darker, and therefore more legible when you zoom in.

You can determine which events will turn grey by filling in “Show at zoom level” when you add or edit an event. 1 is most important, 5 is least important. If you leave all events at level 1, the timeline will automatically turn events grey in crowded timelines.
